OPENING ACTIVITY -

Little Old Lady who was not Afraid of Anything -
    - no mention of Halloween
    - add UPP sound effects
    - always TWO sounds
    - can introduce quarter note (or rhythmic pattern
    - lends well to sound effects with repetition in same order
    - cue cards and sitting in order can help!

What we did with the poem was set up THREE visuals for reading/learning/UPP
    - red circles = sticks  (first couple of words of each line)
    - blue squares = tambourines  (last couple words of each line)
    - green underlines = bongo drums  (every other word or so)

BX = C 8th notes - every syllable
AX/SX = C&E (2x) D&F (2x) E&G (2x) - up and down repeating pattern
glock = every 2nd line of each couplet - downward scale... take out the B's (CAGFEDCC)
