Camporee:
May 9, 10 & 11. Do we want to head
this up? It was decided that we did not
have enough people available or enough time to head up the camporee this
year. Tom will get back with Bill

Update Calendar:
Special
Olympics is
March 30th, no one was sure if Joyce had been contacted about this
yet or not.
It was
decided that the Bridging Ceremony will be a campout again this year at
Black Hawk Park on May 16, 17 & 18.
Jean Simmet will organize. As
long as the Webelos turn in their registration forms to become a Boy Scout they
may attend without a parent/guardian.
Jackie will make sure the 4 of them get registration forms.
Spring
Campouts: We need to plan some
backpacking outings to prepare for the Isle Royale adventure trip. Kyle will talk to the boys about a couple of
trips.
Elections:
March 24th. SPL will be elected then other positions
will be appointed. Boys will fill out a
form to indicate what positions they are interested in. Doug will also be involved in this to let the
boys know what positions they may need.
Tim Clarke is checking into the OA election process.
Court
of Honor: Will be with the Bridging Ceremony on May 18th
(?). We need to think of ways to
promote the future Court of Honor ceremonies to get more people to come.
Mountain
Bike race
will be May 11th at Ingawanis - $5.00 per boys. This is not put on by the Boy Scouts.
Troop Equipment:
Tent
repair
(have we had this done yet): Nathan has
tents. They will need to be repair yet.
Tool
box and contents (final list approval): The list was not available at the meeting.
Upgrade
Flags and poles (use current ones for camp): Need someone to look into this. Miller Fence may have 7 ft. poles more
reasonably price than the Scout catalog.
Jackie will look into prices.
Trailer
signage
(are we ready): It was decided that our
trailer was too big. The committee
voted to look at different trailers and not do anything new to our current
one. Dennis will look into finding a
10’ to 12’ trailer.
T-shirts (are they ordered): Jeff Engel was not at the meeting and no one
knew the status on these.
Summer Camp:
Merit
badge sign up: Doug will check into the deadline for this.
He will post info on the website.
Recharter time:
Disc
to scout office: This was not discussed.
New Business:
Jackie
was asked by the Cub Scouts to get Boy Scout volunteers to help at the Pinewood
Derby on April 6th. Brian
will talk to the boys and let her know.
Jackie
will get email addresses of the 4 new boys to Tom so he can include them in all
future emails.
It
was suggested to try to get more parents to be badge counselors.
Dennis
and Marty put together a booklet for the High Adventure to Isle Royale for next
summer. We need to get Dad’s together
to set a date so they can make arrangements.
