WINTER CAMPOUT:
We do need to decide where to go for the
campout. We were thinking about going
back to Ewalu. Jean Simmet checked and
the same place we rented before is available for that weekend. They also have cross country skis and
snowshoeing. Nathan will check with the
boys to see where they want to go, as we do need to get a count on how many are
going so we can send the money in for a deposit.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Jackie went over the treasurer’s report. There are still several boys with negative balances. Those balances need to be bought up to a
zero balance. Currently, the troop has
a net worth of $2,032.32. For a
complete detailed report, please see Jackie.
LEASERSHIP:
We are short
leadership positions. Tom asked anyone
with suggestions to please let him know.
We do need to make sure we keep enough committee members so that we can
have boards of review.
He also
informed everyone that he would like to step down as Committee Chair beginning
in March. Anyone with suggestions for
someone to fill the Committee Chair position should get with him.
He would like
to have all the new positions filled by March so that we can make changes at
the scout office during our rechartering.
NEW BUSINESS:
Joyce mentioned
that she talked to Adam Ahres mother.
She suggested sending him something for Christmas. He really likes to get newspapers,
magazines, anything to read. Nathan
will talk to the boys and ask them to bring these kind of reading materials to
the next meeting. Joyce will get Adam’s
address. She will also have the boys
sign something so she can send it to him right away.
John Gilbert
bought in information on how to earn your Aviation Merit Badge and Space
Exploration Merit badge. After
reviewing the requirements, it was noted that all classes are offered on a
Friday in Omaha. Attached to these
notes are the brochures that John obtained.
Anyone interested can pursue organizing this event.
Don Gore
mentioned that there will be Eagle Claw training. He would recommend this trip to anyone interested. Anyone that he has talked to that has been
on the trip has spoken very highly of their experience. Attached is a brochure that explains the
trip in detail.
Meeting
adjourned.
