EQUIPMENT PURCHASES:
After a discussion, Doug Case made a motion and John Gilbert seconded
that we purchase two 5-gallon water jugs to have in the trailer. John will get these.
It was also decided that the scouts will get together and come up with
a list of tools that we should have in the troop trailer. They will give this to us to review at our
next meeting and we will decide if we can afford to purchase those tools.
TREASURER’S
REPORT:
Tabled until the next meeting.
TENT REPAIRS:
There will be a tent audit done in the near future
so we can make sure all the tents are dry and we can make note of any repairs
that need to be done.
CLASS B TEE
SHIRTS:
Jeff Engel let
everyone know that he found out about the new class B tee shirts he looked into
ordering:
·
Three weeks for production
·
We need to order a minimum of 12
·
We get a price break if we order
more than 36I(f we get 36, they would cost about $10.00 each)
·
He pulled several samples from
Classb.com and showed them to us.
·
He also researched locally and
found out that it would be more expensive to purchase locally
After a
discussion , we decided to let the patrol leaders pick a design and he will get
a proof to add to the website so that we could all review. We did decide to put whatever logo the boys
decide onto a Kaki colored tee shirt.
ADULT
COORDINATORS:
We need adult
coordinators for the following:
·
Klondike Derby (it will be at
Marble Rock this year on February 8th)
·
Merit Badge University
·
Summer Camp (Third week of June –
6/22 to6/28) (They are having mountain bike merit badges this year)
·
Winter Campout (Mary Hall will
coordinate if we do have a winter campout)
After a
discussion, it was decided that we would have one scout (along with one adult)
coordinate each of these events. We
will ask them at the following meeting which activity they want to coordinate.
HIGH ADVENTURE:
Bill Brown from Troop 55 is coming from 7:45 –
8:15 tonight to share some of his experiences on the high adventures he has
gone on.
We also looked
at a Power Point Presentation that showed what to watch for and plan when
planning for a high adventure.
MERIT BADGES:
Going forward, we will present the merit badges
and advancement ranks at each meeting as they are earned. Then, at the next Court of Honor the boys
will be presented with a certificate of all their accomplishments since the
last Court of Honor.
FUTURE EVENTS:
·
We will be doing Coffee and Donuts for Scout Sunday.
·
We will also try to get more involvement in the actual mass for Scot
Sunday. More on this at a later
meeting.
·
The OA winter banquet will beheld on January 12th in Charles
City.
