have minor repairs that need to be done.
We will try to get those repairs made in November, after the Yellow
River campout but before the spring camporee.
COFFEE AND DONUTS:
We picked the weekend of February 2nd as
the date to work coffee and donuts after all the masses. If Karen Robertson needs additional dates to
fill in, she will lets us know.

Our next meeting is the

JOHN GILBERT HIGH
ADVENTURE PLANNING:
John talked with Bill
Brown (District Committee Chairman). He
had a display at Deere in which he showed three different high adventures that
he had gone on. Bill also knows of
someone that has a video outlining how to plan a high adventure. John will try to have some type of presentation
by the November 25th meeting.
TRAILER UPDATES:
There is still some work that needs to be done to
finish up the trailer. Randy estimates
that it will take approximately four hours to complete. What we need to do:
New tires
Finish the wiring
Put on the metal panels
Install the “break-away-brake”
We set the date of
October 19th at Randy house at 12:30 to finish this up – SET YOUR
CALENDARS AND COME WHEN YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YELLOW RIVER CAMPING TRIP
Our Yellow River camping trip is scheduled
for the weekend of October 25, 26th and 27th. Before that time we need to get four new
tires for the trailer. We approved
spending up to $350 for the new tires.
Dennis and Randy will coordinate getting that done before the trip.
CLASS B TEE SHIRTS:
Jeff Engel has volunteered to head this project. He will try to have a display for the boys by the end of the next meeting.
FOOD DRIVE:
Karen Gilbert, Jean Simmet and Gary Baker will organize the pick up for the boy scouts this year. The cub scouts will distribute the bags on October 12th and the boy scouts will pick them up on October 19th. They will be getting more information to the boys before that time.
PATROL RE-ORGANIZATION:
Tom explained the reasons for creating patrols of various age groups. After a discussion of pros and cons for doing this, it was decided that we would present both sides to the boys and let them decide how they think it should be handled. If they do decide to keep the patrols as they are, it will be stressed and expected that the older boys take a more active role and teach the younger scouts how to run their patrol. Also, if the boys do decide to keep the patrols as they are, they will have the option to move to different patrols as they wish, and, we will ask them to consider this in depth for the next six months and will talk about it again when the new Webelos join the troop.
