firm number of the boys and adults going to the Special Olympics by the end of
this meeting. She also needs to know
which ones will be going to breakfast.
MINUTES FROM THE LAST MEETING:
The minutes from the last meeting were read and approved.
TREASURER’S REPORT AS OF 2/28/03:
Current Troop Net Worth: $5,751.01. This includes:
Non-scout
funds: $3,704.60
Scout
funds: $2,046.44
Jackie asked
what kind of balance we wanted kept in our account at the scout office. It was decided we should a keep $250.00
balance.
FLAGS:
We discussed the different options Jackie had
researched for purchasing new flag equipment for the Troop. Dave made a motion to authorize $250.00 to
go toward the purchase of two sets of poles, tops and stands for our
flags. Motion carried.
TRAILER:
We decided not to purchase the 14-foot trailer we
recently had the opportunity to buy, as it was just as heavy as our 18-foot
trailer. After a discussion, a motion
was made to sell our current trailer with a beginning asking price of
$3,000. Motion passed. Dave will be the contact person for
questions on the trailer. We will only
advertise by word of mouth at this time and see what kind of response we get.
Tom than
mentioned that he did know of someone who has a 6 x 12 trailer that he would
like to exchange for an 18-foot trailer.
This individual is looking for something that he can drive a car into.
Tom would like
someone to ask the other Troops in town about their trailers to see what kind
they have, how it works for them and if they are satisfied with what they have
or if they would like something bigger/smaller.
RECHARTER:
The recharter
for the Troop is due next week. We do
need more committee members, assistant scoutmasters and merit badge counselors
(assistant scoutmasters can not sit in on a Board of Review and can not sign
the advancement at a Board of Review).
Tom has the sign up forms.
