National Scout Jamboree

The Winnebago Council website has information and registration forms on line at http://www.winnebagobsa.org/html/jamboree2005.html. The Jamboree will be held at Ft. A P Hill, Virginia from July 25, 2005 through August 3, 2005.

Scouts attending must be First Class and 12 years old prior to July 1, 2005 but must not turn 18 years old prior to August 3, 2005.

There are plans to have four Troops of 36 youths from our Council. The Scoutmaster for the Wabuha troop is Jim Beuhner from Cedar Falls and his 1^st Assistant is John Winter from Shell Rock. This will be the second Jamboree for both of them.

There will also be approximately 7500 staff positions available which range from security to trading post including cooks and medical personnel. Our subcamp medical staff caontains several personnel from the Mayo Clinic. There are many youth staff positions as well as special OA staff positions.
